THE PROCESS OF POWDER COATING:
The powder coating process uses very fine dry particles of resin with the pigment of your choice. The powder is applied with a spray gun and the resin powder is electrostatically charged. When the resin powder is sprayed onto a part it sticks to the metal because it is grounded, attracting the charged resin powder like a magnet. The charged powder adheres to the surface until it enters a curing oven where the powder melts, bonds and cures to the desired surface characteristic. The result is a coating which provides a uniform, durable, high quality finish.
